辽宁省高等教育自学考试委员会第一部分课程性质与目的要求
《基础英语》是高等教育自学考试文秘专业（专科）综合业务素质培训的重要组成部分，是一门必修综合基础课。
本课程的目的是，使学员具备初步掌握英语基础知识和技能以及运用英语的能力，从而达到文秘专业学员应具备的整体知识文化水准和相应的业务素质。要求通过学习，使学员掌握正确的英语语音、语调，能流利地朗读所学课文；掌握和运用基础英语语法以及熟练掌握和运用1200个左右的英语词汇；认知2000~2500个英语单词，包括300个左右常用句型和短语；能较熟练地运用日常生活对话；能借助词典阅读英文读物；了解两种语言文化差异。
第二部分教学要求
整个教学分六个单元进行（144学时）。每课课文包含A、B两部分，教学以A部分为主，重点讲解语言基本知识，B部分可作为泛读内容讲解，重在培养阅读理解的能力，A部分内容在考试中所占比例为70%，B部分内容在考试中所占比例为30%。
教学要求如下：
1.熟练掌握26个字母，48个音素，掌握基本的语音、语调。
2.认知2000~2500个单词，熟练掌握和运用1200个左右的词汇，包括300个左右课文出现的常用句型和短语。
3.理解基本的语法概念，掌握和运用内容要点中规定的基础语法知识。
4.能流利地朗读所学课文，能基本正确地理解课文内容。
5.能基本掌握日常生活用语，比较熟练地表达所规定的语言功能项目。
第三部分考试要求
一、考试形式
以《基础英语》为指定教材，考查考生对所学英语知识的掌握程度和基本运用能力。
本课程考试包括笔试和口试两种形式。笔试为闭卷，考试时间150分钟，满分为100分，60分为及格。口试为口语考试形式，每位考生口试时间为15分钟，成绩分为：优秀、良好、及格和不及格四种。笔试和口试分别进行，两项成绩分别计算，考生可单独对笔试和口试分别补考。笔试和口试均取得及格以上成绩，方为本课程合格。

第Ⅰ部分：语音知识比较下列各组单词的读音，从A B C D中找出一个其划线部分与其他三个划线部分发音不同的选项。
第Ⅱ部分：词语填空从A B C D四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。
第Ⅲ部分：语法填空从A B C D四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。
第Ⅳ部分：完形填空阅读下面短文，然后从各题所给的四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。
第Ⅴ部分：阅读理解阅读下面短文，然后从各题所给的四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。共三篇短文，每篇各5道阅读理解题。
第Ⅵ部分：翻译
